Porsche has decided to put a $100 million North American headquarters complex next to Atlanta’s airport. Not only will there be construction jobs but Porsche promises to create 100 new jobs and relocate to our Atlanta area 200 more people. As if that news wasn’t good enough … Yamaha also announced that they will be transferring the majority of its all-terrain vehicle manufacturing to the U.S. Yamaha estimates adding up to 200 additional jobs over the next three to five years. At the Yamaha press conference on May 18th, 2011 – Yamaha donated Grizzly ATVs to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and Coweta County Fire Department. Along with the news of these great companies transferring here into the Newnan and Atlanta areas, we also learned this week that Georgia’s unemployment has declined to 9.9 percent in April.
